Natural Beauty of Switzerland


Switzerland has many types of scenery such as mountains, rivers, glaciers, and lakes, for example:





1. Mountains - both of these mountains are the highest peaks in Europe.

A. Jungfrau – located between Valais and Bern

You can do hiking or sightseeing by using a train.

B. Matthehorn – located between Switzerland and Italy

Go skiing or climbing to Matthehorn is the most interesting experience for every tourist. They have ski resorts and a museum of Matthehorn. You can also sightseeing using a train.

2. Lake

A. Lake Geneva is the largest natural freshwater in Europe and lies in the course of the Rhone. This place is very famous for Yacht racing and also you can visit many fantastic villages there by rowing a yacht or going there by a cruise.

B. Lake Zurich is located within the canton Zurich. This lake is very popular for public baths. The water of this lake is very clean and pure. If you are sightseeing there, you will find the larger town of Uznach and Polish Museum.

C. Lake Maggiore is located in the border of Italy and Switzerland. So, you can see the villages of Italy Region and Switzerland. Because this lake is located in the border of Italy, sometimes people escape from Switzerland to Italy by rowing a boat.

3. Rhine River is the largest river in Europe and it is located in Reichenau. You can have a romantic dinner or do something in a cruise and enjoy the scenery around Rhine River. There is a big castle that is very famous. Also, this river is connected to other borders.

4. Glacier :

A. Aletsch Glacier is the largest Glacier in the Alps and it is located in the eastern Bernese Alps in canton Valais. This Glacier and villages around this place is the UNESCO world heritage.

B. Nadelhorn Glacier is located above Saas-fee in canton Valais

5. Rhine Falls is the largest plain waterfalls in Europe. The location of this waterfall is near the town of Schaffhausen. For me, it seems like Niagara Falls. You can go by a boat to observe and see this waterfall.
