Going to Switzerland is very fantastic. Not only you can find many types of natural scenery in Switzerland, you will also find the tallest buildings in this place, just check this link:

Most of the famous landmarks in Switzerland are Churches and Museums, such as the Gothic Church in Winterhurn.

Right now, I want to talk about the Lion Monument in Lucerne. One of the American writers, Mark Twain, praised this monument. For him, this is the mournful of a piece of stone in the world.

In the 17th century, there was a French revolution. The royal families: Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette should move to Tuileries Palace, and Swiss officers guarded this palace. One time, Parisians brutally attacked this palace. The guardians scarified their own life to defend this palace and the royal families and only one night, all of these officers were killed. They didn’t know that the royal families already left them. They showed us about how braver and loyal they are, so this monument was built to honor them. In this monument, you can see the list of the officers that were killed: 760 officers and 350 officers were survived.

Also, you can find the copy of this monument in Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia. It called the Lion of Atlanta. It was sculptured by Thomas M. Brady.
